Hi Guys, Per Frugal Refiners suggestion I droopped all of the gold from an AR solution and transferred the solution to a larger vesssel to cement all the PGMs remaining with a copper bus bar using an inexpensive air pump intended to aerate aquariums. The copper plate/bus bar is 1/4" thick by six inches by 8 nches.
To collect 1 ton of copper, 5 ton of scrap has to be processed and 2.5 ton of slag produced. The one ton copper should hold 500 g of gold. If the furnace recovers 99% of the copper it means will loose 10 kg of copper to every 1000 kg melted from 5 ton of scrap. It means will lose 5 grams of gold.
