Jun 13, 2018. #6. Hi LUVGOLD, I built the dry blower myself I have a detailed thread in the DIY Project section on this forum. The blower itself is a fairly small Ryobi $200 one from bunnings. Dry blowing is great. It is a bit dirty but you can process dirt where sluicing just isn't possible or practical.
1: Your top hopper should have had a flat bottom so the feed is spread evenly as it drops onto the riffles. (You're mixing wet sluicing with dry blowing with your set up.) A dry blower correctly set up catches 90% of the gold in top two riffles. 2: As you mentioned the machine must be set up level crosswise.

Adjustable air flow, adjustable bellows speed and stroke, adjstable tray angle etc. You may have to change pulleys or sprockets but at lease make sure you have to ability to do that. Dryblowing for gold is not an exact science, there are too many variables. Soil moisture content is forever changing.
